Brief: 'Project Runway' comes to the classroom

Fashion designer, and “Project Runway Season 3” contestant, Kayne Gillaspie will visit OU on Wednesday.

The designer, who owns his own custom gown design business in Norman, will speak to students of the Women’s and Gender Studies class Body Image vs. Reality: Popular Culture and the Beauty Myth.

Gillaspie will discuss his experiences in the fashion industry as well as his perspective on the body image issues that many women face as a result of the expectations projected on them by popular culture.

The class is open to the public and will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Adams Hall, room 104.
