This spring's Norman Music Festival will take place in downtown Norman on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25, 2010.

“By adding an extra day, more talent can be showcased,” NMF3 Chair Quentin Bomgardner said. “And with last year’s number of attendees an extra day will help accommodate the festival’s ever-growing crowds.”

The two-day event will feature Saturday night performances inside downtown venues and Sunday performances will take place all day on stages set up on Main Street and inside downtown venues, event organizers said in a press release.

"A part of the reason for our decision for the two day festival was to help out a few downtown businesses who have been hurt by the street closure on Saturdays," says Bomgardner. "By shifting to Sunday for the closure we can avoid that issue, and still show our visitors what a thriving downtown area Norman has."

Event organizers are currently working on the band lineup which will be released in early 2010.
