Annual aviation festival to have new aircraft show
Max Westheimer Airport will host the third annual Aviation Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
New to this year’s festival is a radio controlled aircraft show. Aircraft static displays include a Chinook Plus II; Cirrus SR 22 turbo; T-6 from Columbus Air Force Base; King Air C90; Cherokee Warrior; bi-planes; Norman Fire Department; University of Oklahoma Police Department; SWAT team; Norman Police Department; V-Tail Bonanza; Cessna 310; and the Air Traffic Control Tactical Communications Mobile Unit.
The airport is at 1700 Lexington Ave. in Norman, just north of Robinson Street between Interstate 35 and Flood Avenue.
