The Norman Public Library, 225 Webster Ave., will host a workshop on resumes at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21, in the Computer Training Center to help adults build great resumes they can put online.
Recently, more adults have faced difficulties in finding jobs as employers have moved the hiring process to the Internet.
Conni Eckstein, who has worked for more than 30 years as an engineer and a small business owner, will lead this workshop to help adults learn the new strategies for job hunting.
“I’ve also been a candidate looking for work. I’ve learned how to maneuver an electronic resume submission successfully,” Eckstein said in a press release. “I am very thankful to have a good job that has not been impacted by the economy. I appreciate the value of having a great resume. I would not have been selected to interview for my current position without one.”
Eckstein will give templates for resume writing and strategies for finding and applying for jobs online.
This workshop will be free to the public, but space is limited and registration is required. Call 701-2620 to register.
