A Norman woman has been charged on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill following a Tuesday night shooting approximately one mile east of the OU campus.
Norman police responded to 1208 E. Brooks Tuesday night, and arrested Brandy Milligan in connection with the incident.
Milligan, 30, is charged with allegedly shooting Gloriadean Lancaster, 40, once in the chest.
Norman police said they received a 911 call at approximately 7:50 p.m. Tuesday night from a woman who said she had been shot and then hung up the phone.
Officers found Lancaster in the front yard of the Brooks residence with one gunshot wound in her upper chest, police said.
Lancaster was transported by ambulance to Norman Regional Hospital, where she remains in stable but critical condition according to hospital officials.
Milligan was taken into custody later Tuesday night and was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center.
Cleveland County prosecutors charged Milligan Wednesday with shooting with intent to kill.
According to a probable cause affidavit, witnesses identified Milligan and described her vehicle as she left the scene.
No bond has been set for Milligan as of Wednesday night.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Norman Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
