Men's Basketball: Blake Griffin wins Adolph Rupp award

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Oklahoma sophomore Blake Griffin has been named the winner of the Adolph Rupp award as college basketball's player of the year.
Griffin has also been named one of four finalists for the Naismith player of the year award.
The Rupp award winner is selected by a panel of media and active and retired Division I coaches.
The group selected Louisville coach Rick Pitino as the coach of the year.
The awards are presented by the Commonwealth Athletic Club in honor of longtime Kentucky coach Adolph Rupp.
