Star forward Blake Griffin will play in this Saturday's game at Texas Tech, men's basketball head coach Jeff Capel announced Friday following the Sooners' afternoon practice
Griffin sustained a concussion Saturday in the first half of Oklahoma's game at Texas and remained on the bench after halftime. He also missed OU's loss against No. 15 Kansas on Monday. The third-ranked Sooners are 25-3 overall and 11-2 in the Big 12.
The 6-foot-10-inch, 251-pound Griffin paces the Big 12 Conference with his 22.0 points and 13.8 rebounds a game, and shoots a league-best .632 from the field. He ranks second in the country with 22 double-doubles.
Saturday's game at Texas Tech will start at 2:30 p.m. and be regionally televised by KOCO channel 5.
