Last week we saw the long-awaited return of “Heroes,” “Desperate Housewives” jump five years into the future and Jim and Pam get engaged on “The Office.” This week marks the return of three critically acclaimed shows in their sophomore seasons.
“Chuck” (NBC Monday, 7 p.m.)
The second season of “Chuck” begins after the NSA placed Chuck in a permanent holding cell because his life was in danger.
“Pushing Daisies” (ABC, Wednesday, 7 p.m.)
Featuring native Oklahoman and Emmy-nominated actress Kristen Chenoweth, “Pushing Daisies” returns after its characters Ned and Chuck weren’t speaking. In the first episode, Chuck goes undercover as a “Bee Girl” to help solve a murder.
“The Ex List” (CBS, Friday, 8 p.m.)
In this new show, a psychic tells the star, Bella, that she has one year to get married to someone she’s already dated, or she will remain single forever. "The Ex List" is one of “TV Guide’s” picks for the season. Will the new show get renewed for a sophomore season?
“Dirty Sexy Money” (ABC, Sunday, 7 p.m.)
The best show on television is finally finally back after its 10 episode tease last year. So will we find out what really happened to Nick’s father? What about Simon Elder and his relationship with Karen? And my favorite, the minister Brian, who was suspended from his ministry. What about him? Some questions will be answered, but new ones will definitely arise because the Darling family is fascinating, hilarious, sexy and never boring.
