OKLAHOMA CITY — Matt Pinto will return for a second season as the radio play-by-play voice for Oklahoma City's new NBA franchise, team officials said Wednesday.
The Thunder also said Brian Davis and former NBA player Grant Long would serve as the play-by-play announcer and analyst, respectively, on the franchise's television broadcast team.
Pinto joined the franchise then known as the Seattle SuperSonics before the 2006-07 season. Before that, he spent two seasons as the radio voice for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers.
He also has served stints as the radio play-by-play voice for two other NBA teams, the Charlotte (now New Orleans) Hornets and the Dallas Mavericks. With the Mavericks, he also worked as that team's television play-by-play voice.
Davis most recently worked for television network FSN Northwest, where he served as host of the Sonics' pre-game, halftime and post-game shows. He has called games for the NFL's Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, the NBA's Sonics, the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.
Long has spent two seasons as the analyst on Atlanta Hawks television broadcasts and also has worked in that role for Turner Broadcasting and the Fox network. He spent 14 seasons as an NBA player.
