The No. 4 Sooners survived a second half surge and pulled away from the Cincinnati Bearcats Saturday afternoon, winning 52-26 at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
With the win, the Sooners will hit the road to Washington at 2-0, while Cincinnati, now 1-1, will return home to play against Miami-Ohio.
It was anybody’s game still in the third quarter with OU leading 35-20 when Cincinnati tried a fake punt on their own 23, which failed.
On the ensuing play, sophomore quarterback Sam Bradford tossed a 22-yard touchdown pass to junior tight end Jermaine Gresham to give the Sooners a 22 point advantage.
OU later added a field goal and a two yard touchdown catch by junior fullback Matt Clapp to preserve the victory.

Is it just me or was the officiating crew rather lousy?
