Football: OU's Bradford on list for QB award

FORT WORTH, Texas — Oklahoma State's Zac Robinson, Oklahoma's Sam Bradford and Tulsa's David Johnson are among 13 players named as semifinalists for the Davey O'Brien Award.

The award is given annually to the nation's best college football quarterback.

Robinson has completed 111 of 160 passes this season for 1,687 yards and 15 touchdowns for No. 9 Oklahoma State.

Bradford, the only sophomore on the list, is 183 of 270 passing this season for 2,520 yards and 29 touchdowns for fourth-ranked Oklahoma.

Johnson, in his first year as a starter, has helped Tulsa rise to No. 19 in the Associated Press poll. He is 155 of 227 passing for 2,661 yards and 32 touchdowns for the unbeaten Golden Hurricane.

Three quarterbacks will be picked on Nov. 24 as finalists for the award.
