ORLANDO, Fla. — Oklahoma's Sam Bradford has won the Davey O'Brien Award, edging out Texas' Colt McCoy and Texas Tech's Graham Harrell for the honor given to the nation's top college quarterback.
Bradford, who is also a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, became only the second Sooners player to win the award since it started being given to quarterbacks in 1981. Jason White won it in 2003 and 2004.
Bradford threw for a school record 4,464 yards and 48 touchdowns this season with only six interceptions.
