Shaq Rap Dissing Kobe Bryant

Originally aired by celebrity gossip site TMZ.com, this video shows Shaq in a New York City nightclub mocking his former teammate in a freestyle rap. It’s awesome. Shaq later tried to downplay the incident when he told ESPN he’s “totally cool with Kobe.”

OU’s Josh Jarboe Raps it Up

The highly sought-after football recruit was dismissed from the OU football team for this video, in which he raps about guns and shooting people — it’s a lovely little number. Jarboe had previously gotten into trouble for possessing a gun on his high school campus in Decatur, Ga. He is now planning to play football at the University of Troy.

Memorial Cup Breaks in Half

The Memorial Cup is the trophy awarded each year to the champion of the Canadian Hockey League. Shortly after winning the award, the captain of the Spokane Chiefs dropped it. His team’s own fans even began to boo. Added to Youtube in May, it’s been hailed as one of the best sports bloopers on the site.

F@*$%ing Thing Sucks!: Bill O’Reilly Flips Out

Love him or hate him, Billy O’Reilly is one of the biggest names in the cable news world. This video comes from his days hosting Inside Edition. O’Reilly becomes frustrated with the Teleprompter and goes into a tirade in which he flops around and curses at the staff. The video was shown many times on MSNBC, a major rival of O’Reilly’s network, Fox News.

CSI : Scooby Doo

Collegehumor.com has provided many Youtube hits, and their take on Scooby Doo is another. The video, which was created in July, mocks the intensity of “CSI: Miami” star David Caruso. Tallying 300,000 views in less than a month, Collegehumor should be proud for producing another popular spoof.

Dramatic Cat

This one probably won’t be funny unless you’ve seen the original “dramatic prairie dog” video — a clip so popular it inspired a T-shirt line, an appearance on South Park and numerous copycat video ... including this one. The video is only 21 seconds long, so if you don’t like it, you won’t be out too much time.

Time for Some Campaignin’

Because this is an election year, there have been many political satire videos produced for the Internet. Humor Web site Jibjab.com’s videos first gained attention in the 2004 election, and their latest, a two-minute-long song featuring animated versions of past presidents and current candidates, has been viewed more than 850,000 times since it was posted in July. If you didn’t pay attention to the presidential primaries, this video may not be for you. If you did, happy watching.

Vader Sessions

Not exactly a new video this summer, but one that gained a large amount of popularity during the dog days. A must-see for Star Wars fans, the video takes James Earl Jones quotes from other movies and uses them as dialogue in Darth Vader scenes. It’s nearly ten minutes long, but stick with it because some of the best lines don’t come until past the halfway point.

Quick Punch

This video isn’t new this summer either, but it’s a personal favorite I learned about this past month. An interview for a high school television show turns ugly when the student who is being questioned reacts to a Halloween prankster. It’s only at 4,000 views, but that’s sure to rise once word spreads about this gem.
