“The Stanton Family Grave Robbery” plays Friday at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. In the movie, three brothers attempt to move their dead father from Texas to Oklahoma for burial. The film was written, directed and produced by current and former OU students.

“The Stanton Family Grave Robbery,” a feature-length comedy produced by Singletree Productions, will show at 5:30 and 8 p.m. Friday at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. The Singletree Productions crew is made up of Mark Potts, Student Media employee and broadcast journalism graduate student, and OU alumni Cole Selix and Kevin Costello.

The 80-minute movie, co-written by Potts, Selix and Costello, was filmed in Texas and Oklahoma during the summer of 2007 and screened at the DEADcenter Film Festival in Oklahoma City in June.

The film follows three brothers as they move their dead father’s body from Texas to Oklahoma in the back of a van to honor his desire to be buried in the Sooner state.

Admission is $5 for museum members, $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and students. For more information, visit www.okcmoa.com/film.
