The Union Programming Board’s premiere event welcomes freshmen and returning students to campus. Eat free food from the union’s restaurants; play bingo and win prizes; Nintendo Wii and Playstation in the game room, and casino in the ballroom with high-roller prizes.

Robert Downey Jr. stars as Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist who builds a technologically advanced exoskeleton to become Iron Man. The film ranked No. 1 at the box office in its first and second weeks of release. Directed by Jon Favreau. Also starring Terrance Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges.

“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”

The second film in “The Chronicles of Narnia” series, “Prince Caspian” continues the story of the Pevensie siblings as they travel back to Narnia. The children join the creatures of the magical land to overthrow King Miraz and return the throne to its true heir, Prince Caspian. Directed by Andrew Adamson. Starring Ben Barnes, William Moseley and Liam Neeson.

“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”

Indy returns in a fourth outing, this time racing against Soviet agents to uncover the secret behind a mysterious artifact known as the Crystal Skull. The film grossed $25 million on its opening day and earned more than $300 million gross in the United States and $311 million worldwide. Directed by Steven Spielberg, it stars Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, John Hurt and Karen Allen.

Sept. 12
“Sex and the City: The Movie”
Free showings in Meacham Auditorium at 4 p.m., 7 p.m., 10 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.
Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte are back in the film adaptation of the popular HBO series. The movie follows the four New Yorkers’ life of love, careers and cosmopolitans. The box office smash recorded the biggest opening ever for a romantic comedy, earning a three-day weekend total of more than $57 million. Directed by Michael Patrick King, the film stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Chris Noth.
Foam Party
8 p.m. - midnight on the third floor of the Union parking garage.
Dress to get wet in a foam-filled tent with a DJ, music and lights. The party is free of charge.
