Gearing up for a larger enrollment in the fall, University Housing and Food Services will add a pizza buffet to Couch Cafeteria.
Dorothy Flowers, general manager of Couch Cafeteria, said several new accommodations are going to be made in the fall to better meet student requests, Flowers said.
"We plan on adding a brick pizza oven," Flowers said. "This will give us the opportunity to have a pizza buffet next fall."
Flowers said Loroma Pizza and Pasta will be the biggest addition to Couch Cafeteria in August.
Aaron Myers, University College freshman, said he can't wait until the pizza buffet is added.

"When I lived in Memphis we had a pizza buffet in my high school, so for OU to add one next semester will be a little taste of back home for me," Myers said. "Considering all the cafeteria has right now, it is kind of odd that a pizza buffet is not currently offered, being a very common meal and all."
Myers will have more to look forward to than just a pizza buffet in August.
Flowers said current restaurants like the Sooner Smokehouse, Athens Cafe, Gourmet Pasta Bar, Salad Sensations and Shanghai Stirfry will return and offer more up-to-date services.
The cafeteria will even add more food to the Vegetarian Station to benefit for non-meat eaters, Flowers said.
With more restaurants and benefits being added to Couch Cafeteria, Flowers said she believes the cost for dining will also increase, but not by much.
"We normally increase in price every year, but it's nothing extreme," Flowers said. "Many students tend to think we raise our prices based on tuition hikes, but that's not the case. We simply base it on the Board of Regents and its standards."
"The food is good, unlike most cafeterias," said Windeon McDowell II, Couch Cafeteria employee and journalism senior. "I eat here almost everyday because I work here and can get a wide variety of different foods."
Flowers said Chick-fil-A is one of the newest and most visited restaurants in the facility.
The cafeteria is currently open to the general public six days a week, with the exception of Saturday.
Fifteen restaurants are located in the all-you-care-to-eat cafeteria.
That variety will only continue to get wider for students like McDowell and Myers in August when the pizza buffet and other services are added to Couch Cafeteria.
One thing that remains to be known is the price students and others will have to pay to get it.
