The Daily: Any gardening advice to students?
King: Get involved with nature. Gardening gives you a reason to buy a silly looking hat and create a personal and peaceful area of your own.
The Daily: Favorite place on campus?
King: The South Oval -- with its gardens, large trees, and the view of the Bizzell Library when looking to the north -- makes this area seem like a park in the middle of campus.
The Daily: Any great stories?
King: My greatest story is watching the university grow.
The Daily: What's been your favorite design on the flower beds in the South Oval?
King: The "beaded belt" design in 1997.
The Daily: What's the most random item you've found on campus?
King: I came into work one morning on the South Oval to find 3 bicycles hanging from a cedar tree.
The Daily: If they were to make a movie about your life, who would play you?
King: Billy Bob Thornton with an added splash of Redd Foxx.
The Daily: Any advice to students for finals week?
King: I know that finals is a very tough and stressful week. Everything that you have worked for the entire semester comes down to one final week. Hang in there, work hard, and remember it will all be over soon.
