For Texas alternative rock band iSOLA, making music isn't about money, charts or radio play.
They're four best friends who say they believe they've been waiting their whole lives to make music together.
The band members met at Southwest Texas State University two years ago and have been touring in and near Texas ever since. The band released its debut album, "Don't Walk, Run" in September 2002.
iSOLA recently played the famed Austin, Texas, music festival SXSW and placed in six award categories of the Austin Chronicle Music Awards, including Best Alternative/Punk Band.
Drummer Shane Berry said iSOLA, which cites its influences as Travis, Oasis and The Verve, must work as a team to be successful.
"I couldn't enjoy playing something, no matter how much I loved it, knowing one of the other guys hated it," Berry said on the band's Web site.
The Oklahoma Daily conducted an e-mail interview with the guys of iSOLA--vocalist/guitarist Joey Agnew, drummer Berry, guitarist Matt Niemann and bassist Reese Williams.
iSOLA will perform at noon Friday at the Oklahoma Memorial Union and at 10 p.m. Friday at VZD's in Oklahoma City.
