K-State QB Roberson out indefinitely with injury
Kansas State quarterback Ell Roberson injured his non-throwing hand Saturday and will be out indefinitely.
Roberson injured his left hand while being hit after a pass attempt Saturday against McNeese State. He left in the second quarter and didn't play the rest of the game.
There is no timetable for Roberson's return, but Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder said it is a possibility Roberson could return for Kansas State's Big 12 Conference opener Oct. 4 against Texas.
Jeff Schwinn is the backup and will likely start when the Wildcats take on Massachusetts this Saturday.
OU punter earns Big 12 conference award
Oklahoma junior punter Blake Ferguson was named the Big 12 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Alabama on Saturday.
Ferguson kicked the longest punt of his career, 59 yards, and completed a 22-yard pass to Michael Thompson in Saturday night's game. Ferguson averaged 48.6 yards per punt on Saturday, also a career high.
