The OU men's and women's track teams traveled to Missouri for the Big 12 Track and field competition last weekend.
Several individuals placed leaving the Sooners' women's team in 10th place overall and the men's team in 11th place overall.
The Sooners also clinched the 2002 Bank of Oklahoma Bedlam series for OU.
The year long athletic battle between OU and Oklahoma State was tied going into the Big 12 track and field meet.
The OU men had an overall score of 88.50, while the OSU men's team had a combined score of 35.
The Sooner women posted a 59.5 and the OSU Cowgirls finished with 46.
Junior L'eron George led the Sooners in points, racking up 13.5 and placing in 4 events, including the 100 meter dash, the 200 meter dash, the 4X100 meter relay and the 4X400 meter relay.
The Sooners will find out today who will be invited to the 2002 NCAA track and field championships in Baton Rouge, La. May 29.
Currently the Sooners have two provisional qualifiers for the women, Tiffany Davis and Leslie Dunlap. Men's team members Aldwyn Sappleton, Michael McNamara, Michael Westlund, Austin Landreth and Brett Corlett have met provisional standards.
