Hate the reason for terrorist attacks

The world as we know it has changed forever. There are no more World Trade Center towers, and there is no longer that feeling of safety and invincibility that Americans so cherish.

There is one thing that hasn't changed about our country over the last week, though: we still hate.

We hate those that are different. We hate those that have different religions, people that look different, people that think or act differently. We always have in America. There is no explanation for the hate; it's just there. I'm not including every American. Some of us have learned to appreciate the differences in our society. But there are still enough that haven't learned the one lesson that this horrible tragedy should have taught us. Intolerance breeds hate, hate breeds violence and violence breeds death, destruction and heartache
