Man faces multiple charges after apartment raid
McALESTER - A local man was in jail Wednesday on numerous drug complaints after authorities seized about $8,500 in crack cocaine and marijuana at an apartment.
Richard Dean Watkins, 32, was arrested after federal, state and local authorities raided the the Wood Creek Apartments on Tuesday morning.
They seized 400 pieces of crack cocaine, 195 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag, 20 dime bags of marijuana, a handgun and about $800 in cash.
A 1989 Ford Mustang was also seized.
Watkins faces complaints of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, trafficking cocaine after a felony conviction and possessing a firearm, said Pittsburg County Sheriff Jerome Snookie Amaranto.
