With the college football national signing day only a day away, OU has 20 unofficial verbal commitments.
Six players have committed to OU in the last 10 days.
Antwone Savage, a safety from Westover High School in Albany, Ga., committed to the Sooners on Sunday. He visited OU Jan. 22 and selected the Sooners over Tulane, Clemson, Georgia, Southern and Central Florida.
Josh Tucker of Moore and Jason White of Tuttle committed to OU on Wednesday. Tucker, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound tight end, chose OU over OSU. He was also offered scholarships by Kansas State, Baylor and Colorado. White, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback, chose the Sooners over Tennessee.
Ramon Richardson, a defensive tackle from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, committed to OU over Kansas State on Jan. 26.
Jon Hawk, a defensive tackle from Mullen High School in Denver, committed Jan. 25 to OU after having previously committed to Colorado before former head coach Rick Neuheisel's departure. Neuheisel left Colorado to take the head coaching job at Washington.
Derrick Strait, a 6-foot, 175-pound wide receiver from Lanier in Austin, Texas, committed to OU on Jan. 24.
Two highly touted players still list OU among their top choices. Chris Massey, a 6-foot-1 quarterback from Spiro, lists the Sooners with OSU and Arkansas as possibilities. He will wait until Wednesday to announce his commitment, said Spiro High School head coach Chris Bunch.
Many recruiting publications have speculated that Massey might be recruited to play defensive back, something Bunch said is possible.
"I think the kid's one of those freshmen who can come in and make an impact immediately," Bunch said. "He realizes if he gets the chance to go to the next level, it won't be at quarterback because of his height."
Brandon Everage, a quarterback from Granger, Texas, canceled a scheduled press conference to announce his commitment Monday. According to school officials, the announcement has been postponed until 11:30 a.m. today.
He lists OU, Kansas State and Baylor as contenders.
