To the "I voted" stickers: Students who checked a ballot for last Wednesday's UOSA elections got those nifty stickers to proclaim their civic commitment to the world. Great idea!

To Michigan State fans: About 5,000 people rioted on the MSU campus after the school lost its Final Four college basketball game to Duke. Rioters set cars aflame, broke windows and squared off with police. A basketball game is never worth a riot.

To Student Congress Chairman George Ahmadi: As Congress began its new session Tuesday night, the body took a moment to thank outgoing chairman George Ahmadi for his service. During the last year Ahmadi has led the body through crises and toward greater representation of students. He's also a mean saxophone player with a great sense of humor and an unforgettable laugh. Good job, George!

To tulips in the Elaine Bizzell Thompson Garden: The red, orange, pink and yellow tulips are just the ticket for lifting spirits for spring. A warning: Picking the tulips is a no-no, just ask the students who got a warning from OUDPS when they tried to take a couple home.

To Rev. Henry Lyons: Lyons, who for years headed the National Baptist Convention, has been sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison for swindling more than $4 million from the church, $250,000 of which was earmarked for rebuilding burned churches. At his sentencing, Lyons wept and repented. Funny how these preachers find religion only when they're caught.
