Bio-Dome shows no life

How bad is Bio-Dome? It's the probably the worst Pauly Shore movie ever. Shore, who showed some promise in Encino Man and Son-In-Law, is annoying enough to induce vomiting in this film.

Bio-Dome isn't helped at all by the presence of Stephen Baldwin, who again seeks to prove that he is, in actuality, a Cro-Magnon.

The premise behind Bio-Dome is that these two morons get stuck in a Biosphere-type project.

The doors are sealed and Shore and Baldwin are forced to spend a year with a team of scientists led by William Atherton (Real Genius).

Shore and Baldwin then proceed to act like idiots for 90 minutes. Atherton, who has played a jerky intellectual very well previously, is wasted in Bio-Dome.

Atherton's character, the scientist leading the project, for some reason, insists that Shore and Baldwin stay in the Bio-Dome.

Really, how hard would it be to kick the two morons out? Not very difficult at all, as it turns out, because there is a "back door" that Shore and Baldwin use to invite hundreds of partiers to the Bio-Dome for a Save the Environment Party. If that sounds stupid, it's even stupider watching it transpire on film.

There's also an inane sub-plot involving the morons' loyalty to their girlfriends versus their rampant randiness while stranded in the Bio-Dome with, naturally, two really sexy scientists (not William Atherton). Because, as we all know, all scientists look like they just stepped out of a Victoria's Secret catalog, and, of course, they are all attracted to men like Pauly Shore.

Pauly Shore also proves to casting agents worldwide that if they do not have $20 million to shell out for Jim Carrey to belch and fart in a film, he'll do it for less money (Although, in all honesty, it's even less funny.).

The advertising campaign for this film should have began: "If Dumb and Dumber was too intellectual for you, you'll love Bio-Dome."

This movie is not worth going to see, even at the dollar theatre. It's not even worth a rental. In fact, I wouldn't watch this movie again if Pauly Shore personally gave me 10 bucks.
