The Norman Police Department is looking for information about an armed robber who held up a local convenience store Sept. 25.
An employee of Mr. Shortstop, 920 S.W. 24th Ave., told police a lone man approached the counter about 8:35 p.m. and demanded money.
The clerk said the suspect raised his jacket and showed a large caliber handgun tucked in the waistband of his pants.
The clerk handed the man an undetermined amount of cash before the suspect ran out the front doors.
Shortly after the robbery, a small white vehicle was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
The suspect is described as a black man, 18 to 22 years old, who is 6-feet-tall and weighs 160 pounds.
He has a thin face and was wearing a black jacket with a hood and jeans or sweatpants, police said.
He was armed with a rusty, silver semi-automatic handgun.
Anyone with information leading to the arrest or prosecution of the person responsible could earn a reward of up to $1,000.
